Campaign – Mademoiselle – Chanel

Blake Lively for Chanel’s Mademoiselle campaign – your first look! Following all those will-she-won’t-she attend the Chanel show rumours, Blake Lively landed in Paris over the weekend to unveil her first designer campaign for Chanel’s Mademoiselle handbag line. At a dinner hosted by Karl Lagerfeld, the Gossip Girl starlet caught up with WWD to talk all manner of things, including why she isn’t interested in launching a fashion project of her own. Blake says of the project – “I have such a respect for fashion and such an appreciation for it that if there are people like Karl Lagerfeld out there designing, who am I?” she asks. “I want to bow down to them and be a representative for them if they’ll have me” Take a look at the happenings behind production and an example of the finished ad featuring Blake…

Campaign – Loudres – Material Girl

It was a mere month ago when we were told Kelly O would be taking over Stroppy Taylor Momsen as the face of Madonna’s Material Girl label. Now those ads for Macy’s have been revealed with Osbourne looking ever-so ’80s and edgy. The fun and funky campaign sees the reality-star-turned-TV-presenter modelling cropped bustiers, high waist shorts, denim jackets, overalls and floral frocks. Photographed in Manhattan’s East Village neighbourhood, Kelly says: “I take so much of my style from Madonna in the ’80s and I really admire how Lola dresses and that she stays true to herself.” We hope this collaboration goes without a hitch and doesn’t cause any ‘fall-outs’ between Madge and Kelly’s ma… you never know with this lot. Check out the hot Kelly O in the new ad campaign…

Pop Up Shop – Vienna – Adidas

Location: Suite 725 at the Le Meridien Hotel in Vienna Date: March 2011 – April 2011 Vienna hosts pop- up collaborations for Adidas. Jeremy Scott’s already classic ‘wings sneakers’ for the Spring / Summer collection were displayed with pride as were the epic teddy bear trainers by Scott. Collaborations with artists and heroes such as Kazuki Azuma and Ian Brown were also showcased at this fantastical boutique. Our favorite item? The leopard wedges… J’adore!

Pop Up Shop – Paris – Colette & Chanel

Location: 336-340 rue Saint-Honoré, Paris Date: March 1st 2011 – March 10th 2011 From March 1st to 10th, two legendary addresses in the world of Fashion – CHANEL 31 rue Cambon and COLETTE 213 rue Saint-Honoré – will be blending their creative talent to open an ephemeral boutique at 336-340 rue Saint-Honoré. Stretching over 200 m², the boutique is set in the industrial surroundings of a former garage turned into a giant living display space. The pop-up ‘love-in’ between a French house like Chanel and Parisian boutique Colette might sound like a odd coupling but Colette’s creative director Sarah Lerfel can be relied upon for being pretty much spot on when it comes to gauging synergies and collaborations hence why there’s always SOMETHING interesting going down at Colette during fashion week, hence why in general, there’s always a horde of people gathered in and around the eponymous boutique. The happenings at this particular ‘pop-up’ celebrate unusual pairings and atmospheres that have similar juxtapositions to the way the Chanel pieces are styled in-store fusing new and old. Handbag customization and harpsichord performances are all integral features at this beautifully mixed up store.
